Acupuncture at Carr Chiropractic Clinic
Safe and Effective Pain Management
Acupuncture is a 4,000-year-old healthcare approach developed by the Chinese. It stimulates certain points of the body to reduce pain, promote healing, and improve the body’s ability to function. Four of our chiropractors are certified in acupuncture, and they stay current with trainings and education to provide service you can trust.
There’s Finally Hope for Chronic Pain
Every one of our patients could benefit from acupuncture. That being said, we recommend chiropractic care as the first line of defense for most patients. We always start with the least invasive care possible, and acupuncture causes minor discomfort. We suggest acupuncture when a patient isn’t responding well to chiropractic care, has a long-term pain condition, or is in severe pain.
Some people are surprised to discover that veterans and anyone struggling with PTSD or anxiety can find relief with this technique. Acupuncture is outstanding in healing both the body and the mind and helping you cope with stress.
Patients who combine acupuncture with chiropractic care usually see the best results. We also work with many patients who are only interested in acupuncture. If you’ve ever wondered whether acupuncture is right for you, we’d love to talk with you about how it works and what it could do for you.
Preparing for Your Appointment
We provide shorts and gowns at our clinic, so no need to wear anything special. Some types of insurance cover acupuncture and cupping, but many do not. We’ll talk with you about fees at your first appointment. Medicare doesn’t currently cover acupuncture, although that might change soon.
